    Hi Ted,

Thanks for your post on April 9 recommending a Portuguese tax attorney. My wife and I are going to Portugal this summer, with a hope of applying for a D7 retirement visa when we come back to the U.S. Would you recommend Ms. Jardim to help us with this, as well? We are looking around Vila Real, in the north of the country, if that gives you any guidance about recommending someone we can work with in that part of Portugal.

    Thanks so much!

Bordertowns are dangerous, including in the US. But to use a bordertown to paint an entire country is not fair. I lived 6 hours south on the Sea of Cortez for over 10 years and it was magical. My communities and neighbors were all Mexican citizens and they shared your same fear...but I never saw or encountered a personal experience. Beautiful Country, warm and inviting people and posts like yours and the US National media are very mi's leading.

I'm new on here and looking at Portgual also. My sister and I are making arrangements for our first visit. I would be the one moving. I' bought the Portgual Bundle but can't access it yet. What are some good Ex-Pat cities? I am an artist, (Painter/Sculptor) here in the states, that also has retirement income. We want to visit this summer, what cities (outer cities) would you all reccomend. Thanks Ted Gillespie

Yes I can. His name is Christian Gulizzi. He is both a CPA and a Commercialista so he can give you comparisons of US and Italian Taxes. Here is his email address: please tell him I gave you his name an address.
