    Good day,

I am considering moving to Panama.

I am an alternative medicine doctor (chiropractic, acupuncture, auriculotherapy), and would like to be able to open a small part-time practice for maybe 20 hours/week to keep myself busy.

Is that possible and if so, what would I be required to do to be allowed to do so?

I have practitioner licenses in a couple of states in the USA and one in Australia, so I am properly creditionaled.

    Thanks so much,

    Marcus

    Hello Marcus,

Hope you had a nice holiday season, I'm just back from the holidays and saw your message. My understanding is that chiropractors and acupuncture specialists must be Panamanian citizens which means you would not be able to practice in these professions if you become a legal resident of Panama but I always recommend speaking to a Panama attorney to ensure you have the latest legal info and understand all your options (for example perhaps if you yourself are not able to practice you could own a related business and/or employ local practicioners). If you don't already have a Panama attorney you can contact:

    From the US/Canada: (011 507) 216-9299
