US and Irish passports-Europe travel
-
I am US citizen with an American and Irish passport/citizenship. I read that Europe is going to start requesting an EES/ETIAS to travel to Europe. With an Irish Passport it says I would need authorization from Ireland to go to other countries in Europe? Can anyone explain what this all means or what is needed? I do not understand the website: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en.
Thanks in advance.

As a citizen of Ireland, you do not need to apply for an ETIAS before traveling to other countries within the EU. As an EU national, you have full travel, settlement, and work rights anywhere in the bloc. Just be sure when you travel that you are doing so on your Irish passport.
