I am so eager to find out about the (legal) way to stay in Europe year-round WITHOUT a visa. Can we "live" there though? Wondering- say we decide to live in South of France- how that effects purchasing a home, or getting a long term rental, opening up a bank account, having a car and being able to drive etc.

My husband and I have recently been granted Croatian citizenship and have passports. I assume that we can stay in Europe without any problem. Is that correct?
