Applying for Mexico Visa
-
Hi! Does anyone know if, once you apply for and have your Mexican visa (temporary or permanant) if there is any requirement to be in Mexico within a certain amount of time? We are not planning to make the move to Mexico until next winter, but are wondering if it makes sense to start the process and get the visa now, giving us the option (but not the requirement) to go earlier.
Thanks for sharing any thoughts or experiences! -

Thanks for sharing any thoughts or experiences!once you have been given approval for a Mexican Visa whether temporary or permanent, you get a stamp in your passport, and you have 180 days to go to Mexico and have that temporary stamp converted to a permanent resident status. If you don't go to Mexico with him that time, you have to start the application process all over again.
