First of, sorry to hear about having to retire early. I have been a member of IL for rougly 7-8 years. I have been traveling to Costa Rica several times a year to look for a place to retire. I also spent 30 plus years in the Army and have been to over 25 countries and lived in Europe for a couple of years.

If you have any questions regarding Costa Rica please feel free to reach out. I just attended the Costa Rica Conference in San Jose last month which was great! I also have rented a motorcyle and drove nearly the entire West Coast over a 3 week period. SO many beautiful beachs and small towns. One of my favorites and where I will probaly buy a home is Playa Coco just south of Playa Hermosa on the Northwest coast of Guanacaste. Small town, about 30% tourist and 70% expats (not a fact just the feel i got after visiting several times)

So great to meet another Christian! I am as well and Jesus is my Savior and has saved me many times. I spent 30 years in the Army and had some very difficult times, and without the miracles of Jesus would not be here. I have been a member of IL for about 10 years.

Is CDW mandatory? Coolision Damage Waiver? And which option is the best to buy? In December when I was there my car rental was only around $400 for the 20 days but an extra $660 for insurance?

Is it required to buy the CDW insurance they tell you That You HAVE to purcahse at the car renatl place? And if so Which insurance is best? I was there in December for 3 weeks and my car rental was only around $400 but with the ins. it was another $30 a day so another $630. They told me at the counter it is mandatory?
