I suggest visiting before signing any agreements or making any payments. Also staying in an Airbnb in 2 different areas might give you a chance to checkout the areas and then find something while here.

I would like to relocate to Atenas. I have spent a lot of time via business trips in San Jose and vacations in Lake Arenal. I believe renting would be my best option for now. Are there any real estate agents to help in my search?

I am very interested in possibly living in Costa Rica on a part-time basis, but I need a recommendation of someone that may others have used that is ethical. I am 75 years old and wants a little bit of a change. I know there’s a conference May 24-27 but I don’t know where and when I called international living the gentleman told me it would cost me $1800 to attend. Of course I think this is Ludacris. For that kind of money I would rather have a person that can show me around on a one on one basis. If you have any recommendations please let me know thank you my email is angie@angiediaz.com. There are a lot of businesses where people help you relocate, yet I don't have someone in perticular I can recommend. Have you done research on Costa Rica to see which areas could be the best fit.

It is a good way to get lots of info and start to figure out if Costa Rica is right for you. Are you looking for a rental or to purchase a property? I know some real estate agents I could recommend depending on the area you are interested in.
